On June 26, 2023, The Bishop Basil H. Losten Center for Ukrainian Church Studies co-sponsored an event called “Sacred Land: Music and Poems of Resilience From Ukraine.” This was a Ukrainian cultural evening which showcased Ukraine’s rich history through a celebration of centuries of choral music, poetry, and Ukraine’s natural beauty. This event was held at the Saint John Paul II National Shrine from 6:30-8:00 PM and featured the famous Ukrainian Ensemble Cherubim and Conductor Marika Kuzma.
