We hosted a very special event and discussion: Hope from Ukraine: Pastoral Concern for the People of God in the Midst of War with His Beatitude Sviatoslav Shevchuk, Major Archbishop of Kyiv-Halych and Father and Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, who traveled from Kyiv, Ukraine, to make a pastoral visit to the United States. Catholic University President Peter Kilpatrick made opening and welcome remarks at this event. Other VIPs in attendance included: the University’s Executive Vice President and Provost Aaron Dominguez, diplomats and government officials from Ukraine, Metropolitan-Archbishop Borys Gudziak of the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Philadelphia, and other Ukrainian Catholic Bishops from the United States: Bishop Venedykt Aleksiychuk, Bishop Paul Chomnycky and Bishop Bohdan Danylo.
