On November 12, 2018, ISEC hosted Georgi Parpulov, who lectured on “The Byzantine Text of the Greek Gospels.” This lecture surveyed the medieval history of the continuous (as opposed to lectionary) text of the Greek Gospels, and focused on a homogeneous and large group of manuscripts called “Revised Koine,” “Kr,” or “Family 35,” examining the historical circumstances under which it was produced and disseminated during the fourteenth century.
